Our Achievements

1. Successful implementation of Kobadak Project :

The project titled "Removal of drainage congestion from Kobadak river basin (Phase-I)" is completed in June 2017. As a result of the successful implementation of the project, about 1,20,000 hectares of land in Jhikargacha, Keshabpur and Manirampur upazilas of Jessore district, Tala and Kalaroa Upazilas of Satkhira district and Paikgachha upazila of Khulna district are being protected from water logging.

 

2. TRM direct role in protecting river navigability : 

T.R.M. (Tidal River Management) is the most modern engineering solution for river silt management. With the introduction of TRM from July 2015 in Pakhimara Beel at Tala upazila of Satkhira district, the navigability of the Kobadak river has now grown more than ever. The sweetness water increased. As a result, there have been crop circles in two parts of the Kobadak river basin over the last few years. Before that was the past of imagination.

 

3. Invalid warranty eradication : 

For a long time, the Bhairab river was under the occupation of illegal occupants in the city of Jessore. Illegal encroachments were being illegally trading by illegal fencing and fishing. With the help of the administration, these illegal fencing and fishing were removed in 2017.

 

4. Mobile APP's - Bapauobo Jessore Batayan : 

A mobile apps called "Bapauobo Jessore Batayan" has been launched to immediately inform the office about the damage or any problems to the dams and infrastructures of Polder-24. Apps can be downloaded from Google Play Store.

 

5. Development Fair -2018 - 2nd place occupied : 

Bangladesh Water Development Board, Jessore has occupied the second place in stalling and presenting the Development fair - 2018.
